Your data rights
Last updated:
Introduction
Under UK GDPR you have a set of rights over the personal data we hold about you. This page explains each one in plain English and shows you exactly how to use it. We handle every request personally - we don't outsource it and we don't use automated systems to decide on it.
1 of 7 · Article 15
Right of access
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you - your name, contact details, the job notes, photos and emails on file. There is no charge, and we will reply within one month.
How to use this right
Email b.rplasteringsw@gmail.com with the subject "DSAR - Access" and tell us briefly who you are. We will package up everything we hold and send it back.
2 of 7 · Article 16
Right to rectification
If anything we have on you is wrong or out of date - a misspelt name, an old address, a phone number that has changed - you can ask us to fix it.
How to use this right
Email b.rplasteringsw@gmail.com with the subject "DSAR - Rectification" and tell us what is wrong and what it should say. We will update our records and confirm.
3 of 7 · Article 17
Right to erasure
Sometimes called the "right to be forgotten". You can ask us to delete data we no longer need - for example, an old enquiry that never went anywhere. We may need to keep some records for tax or warranty reasons (HMRC requires up to 6 years for completed jobs); we will explain if anything has to stay.
How to use this right
Email b.rplasteringsw@gmail.com with the subject "DSAR - Erasure" and say what you want removed. We will delete what we can and tell you about anything we have to keep.
4 of 7 · Article 18
Right to restriction
You can ask us to pause our use of your data while a question is sorted out - for example, while we look into a rectification request, or if you have objected to processing.
How to use this right
Email b.rplasteringsw@gmail.com with the subject "DSAR - Restriction" and tell us what you would like us to pause. We will stop using that data until the matter is resolved.
5 of 7 · Article 20
Right to data portability
For data you provided to us based on consent or a contract, you can ask for a copy in a common, machine-readable format (typically CSV or JSON) so you can take it elsewhere.
How to use this right
Email b.rplasteringsw@gmail.com with the subject "DSAR - Portability" and let us know what format suits you. We will send the relevant records as a structured file.
6 of 7 · Article 21
Right to object
You can object to us processing your data based on legitimate interest - for example, if you do not want us to keep your enquiry on file once a job is finished. We will stop unless we have a strong overriding reason.
How to use this right
Email b.rplasteringsw@gmail.com with the subject "DSAR - Object" and tell us what processing you want us to stop. We will respond within one month.
7 of 7 · Article 22
Rights related to automated decisions
PureRend does not use automated decision-making or profiling. Every quote and every job is reviewed by a person, not an algorithm. So this right does not currently apply to anything we do - but you have it if that ever changes.
How to use this right
Nothing to do today. If we ever introduce automated decision-making, we will update this page and our Privacy Policy first.
How to make a request
We call any of these requests a DSAR (Data Subject Access Request). There are two ways to send one:
Option 1 · Email (fastest)
Email us with the subject "DSAR" and the right you're invoking (e.g. DSAR - Access).
b.rplasteringsw@gmail.comOption 2 · By post
Write to us at the registered address:
Pure Rend LimitedBude
Cornwall
We will reply within one month, as required by UK GDPR. If your request is unusually complex we may extend by up to two further months and will tell you why. You can also call us on 07761 735022 but please follow up by email so we have a written record.
What we'll need from you
To make sure we don't hand your data to the wrong person, we will ask for two things:
- 1
Proof of identity- so we can confirm you're the person the data is about. A photo of a driving licence or passport with the document number obscured is usually enough; we will only check the name and photo and we won't keep a copy any longer than we need to.
- 2
A clear description of what you want- which right you're invoking and, where relevant, which data or time period you mean. The more specific you are, the faster we can respond.
Complaints to the ICO
If you're not happy with how we've handled your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator. We'd rather you came to us first so we can put it right - but you don't have to.

Withdraw consent
If you ticked the consent box on our quote form to let us follow up about your enquiry, you can withdraw that consent any time. Email b.rplasteringsw@gmail.com and we will stop processing your data on that basis. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything we did legitimately before then, and we may still need to keep limited records to meet legal obligations (such as HMRC retention rules).
PureRend is operated by Pure Rend Limited, Bude, Cornwall. We handle all data requests personally; we don't employ a Data Protection Officer because we're not required to under UK GDPR. You can always reach a real person on 07761 735022.
