Plastering & Rendering in Kilkhampton

Kilkhampton is a North Cornwall village sitting high on the A39, about 5 miles north of Bude. It's a small, close-knit community and the kind of place where most work comes through word of mouth — which suits us fine, because that's how we've always worked.

The village has a mix of older stone cottages, farmhouses in the surrounding lanes, and more modern residential development. The older properties — particularly the stone cottages around the church and the older farmsteads — often have traditional render that needs sensitive treatment. On these, breathable render systems are usually the right answer: vapour-permeable, sympathetic to the original building fabric, and appropriate to the character of the area.

The higher elevation means Kilkhampton can be exposed to stronger winds than the coastal properties further west, and the Cornish weather is no different here — wet for a good part of the year. Waterproof render systems are worth the investment on any exposed elevation.
